The Standard Flammable Storage Freezers NFPA and OSHA guidelines 45 and 70 for the refrigerated storage of flammable (volatile) materials in general laboratory work areas. There are no electrical components located in the interior of the unit and the compressor’s electrical components have been sealed in a vapor-proof enclosure for additional safety. These units are NOT designed for use in environments where volatile/explosive conditions could potentially exist.
Freezer models feature a microprocessor temperature controller and display, allowing for precise temperature control, verification and recovery versus mechanical style thermostats.
Models utilize environmentally friendly, natural hydrocarbon (HC) refrigerants (not containing hydrofluorocarbons) vastly reduce global-warming potential (GWP) while meeting new EPA/SNAP mandates and UL, ASHRAE compliance guidelines
For manual defrost freezers, periodic manual defrosting is required. Freestanding models require 4" of clearance around back and sides of unit for proper ventilation.

What is the temperature hysteresis and temperature uniformity in the ABS Standard Natural Refrigerant Flammable Storage Freezers?
The factory-set control setpoint is -24°C and the hysteresis (differential around the setpoint) is set to 4°C. Both the setpoint and differential are user adjustable, but we recommend a call to American Biotech Supply tech service to ensure that they are set properly and reasonably.
Uniformity (temperature variation at different locations in the freezer at any point in time) should be within +/- 2°C.
Do the American Biotech Supply Standard Natural Refrigerant Flammable Storage Freezers have a condensation line / drainage line?
No.
Can we obtain IQ/OQ/PQ service with the Standard Flammable Storage Freezer, or could we obtain documentation to perform one of these qualifications?
American Biotech Supply does not have IQ/OQ/PQ documentation for the "Standard" level of flammable material storage freezers. IO/PQ documentation can be purchased for American Biotech Supply Premier and TempLog Premier Flammable Storage Freezers models. They do not provide on-site IQ/OQ service.
What is the weight limit of the shelves?
Each of the shelves will hold 50 lbs of dispersed weight.
